Safety Information

Please read all safety information carefully before using any Bathworks refinishing product. Your safety is the top priority — and ultimately, your responsibility.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Always wear a protective respirator when working with refinishing products.
  • Wear latex gloves and eye protection at all times, especially when handling solvents.
  • Use products only in a well-ventilated area to avoid buildup of fumes.

Keep Away From Vulnerable Individuals
Keep all refinishing materials and tools away from children, animals, and anyone sensitive to paint or solvent fumes.

Flammability & Disposal
Some components in our refinishing kits are flammable. All materials must be disposed of properly in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations governing paint and solvent-based products.

Cleaning & Spills

  • Do not rinse equipment or clean tools with water, and never pour leftover material down drains. These are solvent-borne products that can damage plumbing and harm the environment.
  • Use only lacquer thinner or an equivalent solvent-based cleaner for tools and spills.
  • Be aware that lacquer thinner can permanently damage certain surfaces, including linoleum, plastics, and previously painted areas. Always use with care.

Returns
Opened or used materials cannot be returned.
